Liverpool receive quadruple injury boost for Klopp before Atalanta Europa League tie
Liverpool are set to be boosted by four returning stars for the Premier League run-in as numerous key Jurgen Klopp players have returned to full training. The Reds have been walking wounded for several months but are nearing a full-strength squad for the visit of Atalanta in Thursday’s Europa League tie.
Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Stefan Bajcetic were all spotted in training on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming clash with Serie A side Atalanta. The quartet took part in a full session, fueling confidence that they could be nearing a comeback.
Alexander-Arnold has missed nearly two months of action since suffering a reoccurrence of a knee injury against Burnley on February 10. Conor Bradley has deputised ably in his absence, but the Reds vice-captain would be a very welcomed return to provide some experience to the backline that has been stretched without the likes of Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson.
Speaking after last week's win over Sheffield United, Klopp said: "Diogo and Trent are together in a group, which helps both, but (it) looks like from next week on, they will be hopefully in parts of team training, and then we will see the rest."
